Hunger is a major problem that impacts millions of people around the world. Hunger implies more than ‘having enough to eat’; getting the necessary nutrients is essential for a healthy life. Lack of these can lead to malnutrition, disease and, in the severe case, even death.

So how can it be that enough food is produced but still so many people die of hunger? Like all complex problems, the causes of world hunger are multifaceted. Besides poverty as the main cause, climate change, economic conflicts and wars also play an important role in famine.

Sadaqah Smile’s mission is to provide families with food parcels for a month. The villages where these food parcels will be delivered are in northern Morocco. These villages are difficult to reach due to poor infrastructure. They are families where the majority are unemployed and uneducated.
